Thirty participants graduated from the 11th edition of the GABV Leadership Academy in [month] 2026. The cohort included senior leaders from different areas of 17 organisations in over 10 countries.
The GABV Leadership Academy is a transformative learning experience for bankers in values-based financial institutions, offered by the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Co-Lab and the Presencing Institute.
The programme runs annually and brings long-lasting value to its participants, supporting network building and innovation among values-based banks. It focuses on strengthening the leadership and culture that members need to prosper and progress as values-based institutions.
A format 2026
This year’s edition ran from January to September 2026 in a blended online/in-person format. The online modules were held in a global classroom to ensure peer learning, while the in-person meeting took place alongside the 2026 GABV Annual Meeting in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in March 2026. Alongside the modules, participants took part in peer coaching sessions and individual coaching sessions, and had the option of being matched with a mentor from the GABV Alumni group.
Building connections across borders
The in-person meeting was kindly hosted by Banco Ademi in Santo Domingo.
The programme’s impact continues long after graduation. Reflecting on their experience in the 2025 edition, one of the participants shared:
“My biggest learning is that leadership is less about having the right answers and more about creating the conditions for people, purpose, and performance to move forward together.”
