The Leadership Academy was developed and is overseen by the GABV Human Development Community of Practice, and is a collaboration with the Community Innovators at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA and the Presencing Institute.
About the Leadership Academy
Launched in 2015, The GABV Leadership Academy brings together mid-career leaders from values-based banks and financial institutions around the world to advance their leadership and innovation skills and connect to the growing values-based banking movement.
The program, which runs annually, brings long-lasting value to the leaders and supports network building and innovation among values-based banks. The Leadership Academy is designed to help values-based bankers advance their leadership skills and capacity in order to help their respective banks address current challenges.
Programme Format
The program combines three in-person modules with individual and group coaching between the modules. Modules 1 and 2 will be hosted by a GABV member bank, and module 3 by the MIT Community Innovators Lab and the Presencing Institute in Cambridge, USA.
Each of the three modules has two parts:
Part I is focused on discussions with thought leaders and innovators, and includes learning journeys to places of innovation and clients of values-based banks.
Part II of each module explores concepts and theory on leadership, values-based banking, and innovation, and has a strong focus on personal and reflective leadership practices as well as on tools, best practices, and state of the art leadership approaches.
