The GABV is looking for a Metrics and Impact Manager for a full time position. Please be aware that we can only consider applicants that already have a valid work or residence permit for The Netherlands.
Role Description
As a Metrics and Impact Manager, you are the technical expert responsible for the day-to-day development, implementation and roll out of the GABV’s values-based banking scorecard across its network of 70+ values-based banks globally. The scorecard sets the bar for values-based banking; it structures and captures the vision, strategy and practice of values-based banks.
You are responsible for assessing prospective members of the GABV. You collect and manage financial and non-financial data from all members and use it, and other information, to create the high-level analysis from which values-based banking research can be produced enabling the performance of members and the network to be assessed.
You work closely with, and report to, the GABV’s Head of Impact and Research (HoIR). You provide the information needed to make recommendations on prospective member assessments, to advise member bank CEOs on the implications of the GABV’s scorecard results and to be the GABV’s lead research author.
You are comfortable switching between a broad range of tasks, have analytical and technical skills, a can-do attitude, and are willing and able to deliver administrative as well as financial management tasks. You enjoy engaging with colleagues from different cultures, countries and type of institution. You are tenacious in chasing the delivery of material from a wide variety of internal stakeholders, and enjoy working in a small team that’s informal, engaged, and international.
Your Tasks
Scorecard
- Technical lead: manage all aspects of the GABV Scorecard tool, including scorecard methodology development and supplier relationships
- Manage the Scorecard implementation across the GABV Community: advise members on the use and application of the Scorecard, track and gather scorecards from across the membership and provide quality assurance
- Ensure all members receive timely feedback on basis of their completed scorecard
- Continue to evolve the Scorecard, including its governance and toolkit
- Assess scorecards to improve comparability of results
- Work with the HoIR to provide in-depth analysis and advice to selected members on the basis of Scorecard results.
Data Management
- Overall responsibility for complete and accurate member data base
- Collect preliminary financial information for annual member fee invoicing
- Prepare and provide data as required for research, communication and other purposes.
Member Assessment
- Lead process to assess prospective GABV members, including liaising with key internal stakeholders
- Maintain underlying documents and decision status for all prospective members. Monitor and report progress throughout assessment process
- Analyse data, provide quality assurance and make recommendations in close consultation with internal stakeholders including the HoIR and Executive Director (ED)
- Present to Board as required.
Inhouse Research & Reporting
- Preparation of data for key reports to promote the goals of values-based banking
- Preparation of data and analysis for ad hoc reports and studies involving the use of Scorecard data and results
- Work closely with HoIR who will, typically, be the lead author of published research.
Climate Change Commitment
- Monitor and promote the implementation of the GABV’s Climate Change Commitment (CCC) and liaise with members on its implementation, clarify methodological questions, and direct them to appropriate resources
- Support the development of Greenhouse Gas assessments and disclosure including member’s Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) commitments. Report to PCAF on progress in line with funding
- Review draft disclosures reports and provide feedback prior to finalising disclosure.
Your Profile
- You have strong skills analysing financial and impact data and are familiar with impact reporting and/or assessment
- You are a graduate with at least three years of relevant experience working in the impact banking/finance space
- You are comfortable working with senior professionals and enjoy engaging with people at a variety of levels
- You ensure that data is gathered from busy people with competing priorities
- You have some experience producing data for research in the financial space
- You are a fluent English speaker (Spanish is a distinct additional advantage but not a requirement)
- Willingness to work with a flexible schedule and beyond regular working hours as we are an international organisation operating in different time zones
- You are able to work 32 hours per week
- Solution orientated, mature and enthusiastic person
- Pro-active problem preventer, and solver, who takes initiative and makes independent decisions.
