Impact Strategy Intern

The GABV is looking for an Impact Strategy Intern for a minimum of 3-6 months for 16-24h/week beginning ASAP. Please be aware that we can only consider applicants who already have a valid work or residence permit for The Netherlands and who are registered as a student throughout the internship period.

The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) is a Foundation with its headquarters in the Netherlands. It is a network of independent banks using finance to deliver sustainable economic, social, and environmental development.

Internship Description

You will make an important contribution to the development of this global network of stakeholders, assisting the secretariat in promoting the goals and objectives of the Banking on Values movement.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the Scorecard’s development, an internal methodological tool that helps promote the principles and best practices of the banking on values movement, and to its deployment within the network.
  • Participating in monitoring the use of this tool by members, collecting, and processing data and analysing the results.
  • Carrying out desk research and synthesis work to support the Impact Strategy Community of Practice
  • Database and organisational support for other GABV Communities of Practice.

Profile

Ideally, we are looking for a student intern who fits these criteria:

  • Availability of 3-6 months from June 2024, for 16-24 hours/week.
  • The completion (or near completion) of a graduate or undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, political science, international development, or another relevant field.
  • Working experience in an international organization or the financial sector is a strong asset.
  • Fluency in English is a requirement; knowledge of Spanish and/or Dutch is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Excel is a requirement; experience in data management and analysis is a strong asset.
  • Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability and willingness to operate in a multicultural team.
  • Values independence and flexibility with an entrepreneurial spirit.

You will work directly under our Head of Impact and Research, with occasional remote supervision and weekly bilateral feedback sessions. You will take part of the Secretariat weekly meetings and monthly team meetings.
