Seit \u00fcber 40 Jahren setzt sich die Centenary Bank daf\u00fcr ein, die landwirtschaftlichen und l\u00e4ndlichen Gemeinschaften Ugandas durch zug\u00e4ngliche Finanzdienstleistungen zu st\u00e4rken, die Lebensgrundlagen verbessern und das Wirtschaftswachstum vorantreiben. Die Bank wurde 1985 von der katholischen Kirche Ugandas gegr\u00fcndet, um der armen Landbev\u00f6lkerung zu dienen. Heute ist sie eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften Banken des Landes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Zusammenarbeit mit Proparco und dem Technical Assistance Facility for Crisis Emergency Response (CERTAF), das von der Europ\u00e4ischen Union unterst\u00fctzt wird, st\u00e4rkt die Bank weiterhin ihr Umwelt-, Sozial- und Governance-Rahmenwerk (ESG). Ziel ist es, sicherzustellen, dass nachhaltige Gesch\u00e4ftspraktiken im Mittelpunkt jeder Finanzierungsentscheidung stehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dieser Ansatz pr\u00e4gt die Unterst\u00fctzung, die die Bank ihren Kundinnen und Kunden bietet. Landwirte erhalten zeitnah Zugang zu Krediten, w\u00e4hrend kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KMU) wachsen, Arbeitspl\u00e4tze schaffen und widerstandsf\u00e4hige Betriebe aufbauen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durch die Verbindung von zug\u00e4nglicher Finanzierung mit einem starken ESG-Rahmenwerk f\u00f6rdert die Centenary Bank die finanzielle Inklusion und zugleich eine \u00f6kologisch nachhaltige und sozial verantwortliche Entwicklung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
