In L\u00e4ndern mit niedrigem und mittlerem Einkommen k\u00f6nnen 70 Prozent der Zehnj\u00e4hrigen einen einfachen Text nicht lesen und verstehen; in den \u00e4rmsten L\u00e4ndern sind es 90 Prozent. Ein wesentlicher Grund sind fehlende Investitionen: L\u00e4nder mit niedrigem und unterem mittlerem Einkommen haben eine j\u00e4hrliche Finanzierungsl\u00fccke von 97 Milliarden US-Dollar, um das UN-Nachhaltigkeitsziel 4 f\u00fcr hochwertige Bildung zu erreichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das EduFinance-Programm von Opportunity International Savings and Loans unterst\u00fctzt erschwingliche Privatschulen mit Schulverbesserungskrediten. Diese verschaffen Schultr\u00e4gern Zugang zu Kapital f\u00fcr ihre dringendsten Bed\u00fcrfnisse, zum Beispiel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>den Bau neuer Klassenzimmer, Sanit\u00e4ranlagen oder Schlafs\u00e4le, um Anwesenheit und Einschulung zu steigern, insbesondere bei M\u00e4dchen;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>die Einstellung neuer Lehrkr\u00e4fte, kleinere Klassen sowie die Anschaffung von Lehrb\u00fcchern, Schulb\u00e4nken oder Computern;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>die Verbesserung von Gesundheit und Sicherheit durch Metalld\u00e4cher, Betonb\u00f6den, Sicherheitsz\u00e4une und Anlagen f\u00fcr sauberes Wasser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neben der Finanzierung bietet die School Leadership Academy von Opportunity Workshops an, die Schultr\u00e4gern helfen, Verbesserungskredite zu verstehen und zu beantragen, und zugleich die Verbindungen zwischen Schulen und Finanzinstituten st\u00e4rken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durch die Verbindung der Finanzierung aus dem Privatsektor mit den Bildungseinrichtungen hilft EduFinance mehr Kindern in L\u00e4ndern mit niedrigem und mittlerem Einkommen Zugang zu besseren und sichereren Schulen zu erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 251 million children and young people worldwide are out of school, and millions more sit in classrooms without learning even the most basic skills.
