Banco Integral’s Legado Integral Programme

In El Salvador, Banco Integral has launched Legado Integral, a pioneering programme that recognises people aged 50 and over, the “Silver Community”, as a driving force for economic and social growth. Created in alliance with the Crecenta Hub and BID Lab, it aims to strengthen entrepreneurs and business owners over 50 across the country.

The programme combines financial and non-financial services. These include financing on preferential terms for working capital or fixed assets, purpose-built savings accounts, business training through more than 40 workshops, and health and life insurance. It also offers “Asistencia Plateada”, dedicated support covering wellbeing, health, legal advice, household assistance and business guidance.

The launch was led by César Barahona, Executive Director of Banco Integral, alongside Eduardo Quiñónez, President of AGRISAL, and Ana Isabel Hernández, AGRISAL’s Manager of Innovation and Business Development. Quiñónez highlighted how the programme reshapes social perceptions of people over 50: “Legado Integral opens a new chapter of inclusion and productivity, demonstrating that after 50, experience becomes an invaluable asset for building a more prosperous and sustainable future.”

Barahona described the initiative as a declaration of trust in the talent and capability of those who have spent decades working, learning and contributing to their communities.

Operating under the motto “Never too late to grow”, Legado Integral reflects Banco Integral’s wider “Banca con Propósito” approach: a more human, close and empathetic model of banking that goes beyond credit to support the real goals of entrepreneurs at every stage of life.
