David (United States/Netherlands), has filled a number of senior and strategic roles in banking and financial services since 1976, starting at Shore Bank in Chicago and with more than 25 years at ABN AMRO in the US and the Netherlands. Within the GABV secretariat his responsibilities include helping to deliver results from the financial capital and impact metrics action tracks, network expansion in Asia and the Americas, research on the business case for sustainable banking, and providing general strategic guidance to the GABV Chair and Board.

Adele (South Africa), has 15 years experience in project management and support within environment and development NGOs, non-profits, government and research institutions. Within the GABV secretariat her responsibilities include providing and managing the general administrative and operational support to all secretariat and network activities as well as the GABV action tracks, coordinating the internal and external GABV communications and events, and acting as the liaison point for the Global Alliance Values Ambassadors programme.

Paula (Canada), a former journalist and communications, marketing and engagement executive, serves as Advisor to the CEO at Vancouver-based Vancity Credit Union. She is seconded part-time to the GABV Secretariat where her responsibilities include advocacy and engagement, development of the GABV’s North American Chapter, development of governing boards’ programming, and providing general strategic guidance to the GABV Chair and Board.

Radek (Czech Republic) is currently enrolled in a master programme specialized in financial markets and banking at Charles University in Prague. Within the secretariat he is focused on delivering financial analyses on a variety of banks to support GABV’s research on the business case for sustainable banking as well as supporting David on the impact metrics action track.

Janina (Germany) gained international experience while working for the UN in New York and the German Embassy in Prague. She has been connected to values-based banking for 10 years and currently serves as Advisor to the CEO and GABV Board member at GLS Bank in Germany. Her responsibilities for the GABV Secretariat include development of the GABV’s European Chapter and the Human Capital action track, with a special focus on developing the GABV Leadership Academy.
Dr. Katrin Käufer
Katrin (Germany) is research director (& founding member) at the Presencing Institute, and Fellow at the Community Innovators Lab (CoLab) at MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning. Her current work includes a research focuses on social transformation and non-hierarchical coordination. She earned her MBA and Ph.D. from Witten/Herdecke University, Germany. Katrin serves as Senior Advisor to the GABV Secretariat and is responsible for managing the Human Capital action track and developing/implementing the new GABV Leadership Academy.
