On the October 17, 2018, the Global Alliance for Banking on Values, together with our member Centenary Bank from Uganda, is organising the event Values-Based Financial Inclusion: The Benefits of Sustainable Banking. The purpose is to discuss the benefits of values-based banking in growing African economies and how to implement and spread this unique approach to sustainable finance. GABV board members and guest speakers will introduce the movement to Executives of African Financial Institutions and Regulators, and invite them to reflect on the question ‘Which opportunities does values-based banking bring to growing economies?’.
The main theme of the event will be the financial inclusion, its benefits, and how it can be achieved through values-based banking practices. Two working sessions will further develop the subject, focusing on two topics which are relevant in the African financial spectrum: Women empowering and Agri-finance.
